Deborah A. Greenwald, BCaBA

Deborah has nearly 20 years of experience working with children and families affected by autism, ADD, ADHD, and other neurological disorders.  She holds degrees in Early Childhood Development and Special Education, and maintains certifications in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Relationship Development Intervention (RDI).  Deborah also has extensive training in Discrete Trial Teaching, Verbal Behavior, TEACCH Method, Natural Environment Training, PECS, Floor Time, and more.

Deborah’s Professional Experience through Autism Associates Includes:

• Appointed to the School Board Position for Social Development, Minds in Motion Academy, Manassas Va

• Presenter at The November 2011 Circle of Support Conference, Woodbridge Va

• Engineered Innovative Dynamic Intelligence and Socialization Programs utilized in Schools

• Created and Presented Trainings for School Personnel - How To Increase Dynamic Thinking and Social Development in the Classroom.

• Originated and Implemented Interactional lessons for Elementary Classrooms – Title: What is Autism and How Does it Feel.

• Consulted with school personnel to discuss environmental conditions, lesson adaptation, behavior modification and socialization.

• Consultant for RDI Programs; guiding families through the step-by-step Relationship Development Curriculum.

I feel fortunate to have found my true calling and love what I do!   I am very passionate about working with children who require specialized guidance, along with their families.   I truly care and am fully dedicated to helping you guide with confidence, while building within your children, the highest degree of competence.  In my 20 years experience, children who feel competent- succeed!
